Support the Theological Education Fund

The polity workshop at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary we listed in the July 20 email will not be held.

Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary will offer the workshop “Singing into our Future” Sept. 15 with the Rev. Dr. Michael Waschevski. This workshop will introduce the new PC(USA) hymnal to music and worship leaders, and after the workshop, a public session is offered to sing from the Sampler. Learn more ?

Columbia Theological Seminary will offer the course “Teaching Spiritual Formation in the Congregation” Aug. 7-12. The course will explore ways of building a community dedicated to spiritual formation by teaching it in congregations. The class also will be experiential, including prayer, small groups, individual reflection, and presentations. Get details ?

University of Dubuque Theological Seminary’s Center for Women’s Issues encourages the support necessary to ensure that the full gifts of women seminarians are developed for service. The program provides opportunities for fellowship and conversation, offers meetings on topics of concern to women, and serves as a resource center, among other things. Get more information ?

Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary will present the Katie Geneva Cannon Lecture Sept. 18. It will feature the Rev. Dr. Traci C. West, professor of ethics and African American studies at Drew University Theological School. Her lecture is titled “What Does Anti-racist Christian Sexual Ethics Look Like?” Learn more ?

The World Mission Initiative at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary will present the workshop “Discerning Your Call to Mission” on Nov. 5. This annual workshop is designed to encourage and guide those who sense a call to mission work. Learn more ?

Princeton Theological Seminary will offer the workshop “Cultivating and Inspiring Church Volunteers in Today’s Challenging Economy” Aug. 15. The one-day workshop will focus on ideas and concepts used by professional volunteer coordinators to build and sustain successful volunteer programs in spite of the challenges created by today’s unstable economy. The Doctor of Ministry Program at Evangelical Seminary of Puerto Rico has a special emphasis on the pastoral care of the family. Students will, among other things, develop an understanding of the social structures of the family in its many expressions, and develop an understanding of the family from a biopsychosocial and spiritual perspective.
